What’s a Smoke Machine?

02/21/2024

This week was a week of days…many days. Some of the days we did things, music related things. Other days, we did not do those things. Some of the things happened on friday, and some were other days. Pictures were taken of these things, but the only one I got was this:

All jokes aside, we had a couple shows this last weekend. Matt was in Irvine at Hangar 24 in Irvine with One Drop Redemption…thus the above selfie. They put on a good show as usual and they always play at nice venues. If you haven’t been to a Hangar 24, you should check it out. I went to the one near Redlands, California many many years ago and remember the beer and the food being great. The atmosphere was vibrant and loud and they often had live music. I knew a few bands that played shows there. Always a favorite, but I’m partial to a good beer menu and delicious food.

The Friday show at Frogee’s was actually the release party for Sad Truck, the new EP from Johnny Carnage. I heard it was awesome…but it’s been near impossible to get any actual details out of anyone about either show. We’ve all just been too damn busy. I tried folks. All my usual connects are unavailable for show chats this week. What I do have are some photos though! Check em out:

As for art…well it’s slower than molasses in winter folks. I’m not looking for the work, so there isn’t as much. I have to hunt it down, throw myself out there… I did do one new logo recently, but you’ll see it when you see it. What can I say? I have my tentacles in too many projects at the moment and no volunteers to pass any batons to. It is what it is what it is. That’s really it for this week. I have no promises for next week as we don’t have any shows lined up this weekend, but I’m sure something interesting will happen.

Anyway, take care of those you call your own, and remember friends, ANY machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough. Until next week…
