Hey guys! Rhey here with a little update about this past week. After the busy holiday season we had, things have slowed down quite a bit. JB from Local Band Smokeout messaged us needing a sound engineer last minute for a show he had coming up that Friday on the fifth so Matt had me run solo for that show. It had been a while since I had done a full setup on my own so it was nice to get a little refresher. The show started around 8:30 with Em Cee Squared kicking off the night followed by Order of the Fallen Stars, and then Heroes of Fools. The bands killed it as always, and then we moved onto the hip hop artists of the night featuring Lyonz, Obelisk, JB Music of course, Qurfew, and SoSicktheIllest. GlizzyDaddy had his street dog stand up, and Mike Storm even popped in for a bit to show his support. The crowd seemed to really enjoy the show and everyone seemed a lot more relaxed now that the holidays are over (I know I am). Overall it was a lot of fun. JB always knows how to throw together killer shows and I’m excited to work with him more in the future. That’s about it from me! It’s been a bit of a slow week. Til next time! Peace!

Pi here… still nothing exciting over here. I’m working on some of my own Lost Octopus side projects for now. There’s a neat kinda dystopian piece involving a gumball machine that I am working on as a trade. I got a tiny crocheted bone-drinking monster in return for this interesting 8.5×11″ drawing. I’m a ways from being done, but it should be pretty neat once I finish. I love trades.
In other news, it looks like I might be getting back into actual music. Not just releasing the one Blues song we’ve been sitting on for years, but possibly even doing more backing vocals for a few other folks projects. I’m the uncredited background vocalist on a few different works by our good friends Doug Strange and Ian Seabolt. Wanna hear me say a bunch of weird words a lot in a cannabis employment firm commercial? Head over to the videos tab and take a look. Gives me a good chuckle every time I see it again. Hope all you hes, shes, theys, gays, faes and all the rest have a great rest of your week.
What else would you like to hear about from us? Studio shenanigans? Solo projects? Gear reviews? Any kind of reviews? The stuff we’ve already been talking about? I want to know what you want to know! Drop a comment if you have any suggestions.
